  1. Chief of Police

    In 1976 at the age of 19, Chief Holloway joined the Bellaire Police Department as a police dispatcher and worked his way through the ranks to the position of Chief of Police.

  2. Assistant Chief of Police

    Assistant Chief Michael Leal began his law enforcement career with the City of Bellaire in August of 1988.

  3. Patrol Division

    The Patrol Division operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Duties performed by officers of the Patrol Division include; routine patrol activities, enforcement of state and municipal laws, traffic enforcement, preliminary criminal investigations, accident investigations, and assisting lost or stranded motorists.

  4. Communication Division

    The Communications Division is a Public Safety Dispatch facility that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Professionally trained Communications Specialists process calls received from the public and with the aid of computerized dispatch technology, dispatch Police, Fire and/or EMS units as needed. The Communications Division is responsible for maintaining the department's radio, mobile data, and telephone equipment. Division personnel provide information to the FBI and other police agencies via the National and Texas Crime Information Center networks.

    The Support Services Division includes the Criminal Investigations Division as well as the Court Division.

  8. Records Division

    The Records Division is in charge of records management for the Police Department. Division responsibilities include the processing of all offense and incident reports, accident reports, arrest and prosecution reports generated by the Police Department. The Records Division also prepares Statistical reports such as the Uniform Crime Report for the FBI and Departmental Monthly and Annual reports for local use. Requests from the public for copies of reports are handled by records personnel between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday.
